About Us

We’re Meadows Avenue Tap, and we’ve been the premier bar and grill in East Peoria, IL since 2006. With over $55 Million won by our customers, we offer the best gaming experience around. We specialize in private parties, pool leagues, and video gambling. We also offer craft and domestic beer, appetizers, breakfast on weekends, burgers, homemade pizza, wings, and much more for dine-in, carryout, and curbside pickup. We’re looking forward to partnering with Morton, Peoria, and Washington Park consumers to continue to offer a premier bar and grill experience. Our Story

When owner Rich Gabbert took over the business in 2006, he had a vision for Meadows Avenue Tap to become a community staple and pass the business down to his children. Rich’s mission from the beginning has been to focus on customer satisfaction. In 2008, he added a covered beer garden outside for customers to enjoy some fresh air throughout their night, without removing themselves from the vibrant atmosphere that Meadows Avenue Tap is known for. When gambling became legal in Illinois in 2012, Rich thought gaming machines would add an extra layer of excitement and fun with his customers, and he was right! Nearly ten years later, Meadows Avenue Tap is known around the region to have the best gaming experience, and some of highest payouts for players. We’re a one-stop-shop for food and drinks, slot machines, and great conversation.

There was a guy that it was his birthday too so they had decorations, cupcakes and hats. I like this place. Not quite a dive bar, but juuuust a step above. Pretty crowded during pool league nights. Bartender was kinda busy, but I've seen busier places. I say this bcuz I ordered my beer & paid with a $20. The bartender grabbed my $20 & was soooo into the conversation she was having, she came back around to me & told me.."$3 for the beer."... I looked down at the $20 in her hand while she blankly stared at me waiting for me to pay. I had to remind her where she got that $20 from to get her to stop thinking that I wasn't gonna pay. Overall, not a bad experience. I wish she woulda let me know the new tap of Yuengling was available. Otherwise, I woulda started with one of those. Not too bad a place, I bet it's a lil more convenient if you're a regular. I do recommend this place tho.
